Where our wild adventure began...

Welcome to The Boho Bug, our specialised VW car hire service for the more wild, free and whimsical weddings.

The Boho Bug brand was created by us, Alec and Savannah Lynn-Rodgers. Two newly weds who met at the age of 18 and 19 through our mutual love of surfing, became best friends, fell in love and have been inseparable ever since. 

​

The Boho Bug's journey started whilst we were planning our own wedding and saw a gap in the market for a more non traditional, bohemian car that fit our personalities. We are both fun loving individuals that in our spare time can be found creating our own adventures, whether that be surfing, hiking, wild camping, or toasting marshmallows on an outdoor fire with a guitar or ukulele. We really wanted all aspects of our wedding to reflect the natural and simplistic values on which our love is based... that's when The Boho Bug was born!

Alec already owned Rico, his 1303S VW Beetle, and had been in the process of his renovation since the age of 16. It wasn't until we decided we would love to include him in our wedding that we thought what better way to share our love for this little bug than to offer him to similar couples for their special day. Over the past few years we have kitted him out with house plants and an eclectic mix of boho finds gathered on our adventures, from Italy, Wales, Bali and more to make the experience all the more unique!
